Balenciaga OS is a small tribute to something I’ve loved for a long time. I’m drawn to the care fashion houses put into leather goods: the hardware, the stitching, the way a material changes with use. As a longtime Balenciaga fan, I wanted to play with their grommets, studs, and leather textures in a medium I work in every day.

The challenge was figuring out how those details could work as an interface. A zipper became a slider, a snap became an accordion, and an inner serial plate became a calendar. I kept thinking about grain, tension, and wear, and how much of that feeling could come through on a screen. Mostly, this was a quick, fun excuse to spend time with details I love and see where they took me.
